Galeazzo Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan, is a powerful nobleman in Italy.

On the morning of Palm Sunday, he wakes up with a beastly hangover and his bowels in a tumble after spending the night with a boy. They are both nude.

He sends the boy out with a spank on the bottom. Upon hearing the church's bells, he learns from his servant Chico what day it is and that his wife and children are waiting for him at the church. He asks for some cottled eggs.

He dresses and heads to the church. Everyone rises to greet him, but he tells them to be at ease.  When Carlo Visconti walks up in front of him, he is upset and demands that Carlo leave because this is his "moment." Visconti replies that it will be the last he enjoys thanks to the Secret Archives, and quickly assassinates him.

Later the Medicis learn of his assassination and suspect the Vatican, with Lorenzo remarking that the timing is "too perfect." The duke's reputation is mentioned, Guiliano saying he was "a pig of epic appetite" who people say even "deflowered" Visconti's niece. Nevertheless, his death they know upsets the balance of power in Italy, and that they in Florence are now vulnerable without Sforza's protection.

  • He is depicted to be in his late 40s (while Sforza was actually 32 when he was killed).
  • His assassination erroneously takes place on Palm Sunday of 1477, which, on that year, fell on 30 March, about three months after his real-life death on 26 December 1476.
  • According to Wikipedia, the real Sforza was "a notorious womanizer who often passed his women on to his courtiers once he was tired of them." Sforza's depiction as a boy lover on the show was criticized by gay bloggers as an attempt to use homosexuality as a symbol for vice.
